Breaking News: Governor Douye Diri Emerges as Chairman of South-South Governors’ Forum

The governors of the South-South region have elected Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State as the chairman of their forum.
The governors made the unanimous decision at the Bayelsa State House, Creek Haven, on Tuesday, with governors from Akwa-Ibom, Cross-Rivers, Delta, and Rivers states present, while Edo state was absent.
Governor Bassey Otu of Cross Rivers will serve as his deputy
