The Concerned people of Gamac road in Edepie in Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa state have once again called on the Management of the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC to call the contractor awarded the Gamac road construction to come to site.
The Chairman of the Concerned People of Gamac road in Edepie, Ebiowei Princewood in a protest letter addressed to the Acting Managing Director of the Interim Board Prof.Kemebradikumo Pondei said after dropping some materials for the drainage system some months ago, the contractor has gone into thin air without any further information concerning the road.
The group in the statement calls on the contractor awarded the road project to come to site and expedite action as the rains are gradually come in saying other projects awarded same time are in advance stages.
The group also called on the youths of Edepie and the community members to assist the contractor to ensure that the road is completed without hitches.
The Concerned people of Gamac road in Edepie who congratulated the new Acting Managing Director of the NDDC Interim management Board Kemebradikumo Pondei on his appointment calls on him to sanction any contractor who abandoned project sites.
