The people of Adagbabiri Community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State have called on the State and Federal Governments to provide relief materials for them; as flood continues to ravage the Community.

Residents of Adagbabiri Community who spoke to our reporter on a visit to the Community to ascertain the level of the flood, say this year’s flood has exceeded the 2018, and that it may likely get close to 2012.

Some of the victims, including the oldest man in the Community who recently clocked 90years, referred to as Amakosowei of Adagbabriri Community, Elder Fresh Esuku, the CDC Chairman, Mr. Preye Awolowo Clarkson and others, described the flood as a perennial disaster.

Mr. Francis Aladou who cooks inside canoe; after his house was submerged recount their loses and appeal to governments to immediately send them relief materials such as food items, water, medications and make provision for Flood Displaced Persons’ Camps as temporary measure to assuage their sufferings.
