The Ijaw Youth Council has reposed confidence in the ability of Hon. Pabara Newton Igwele, to reposition the State Health sector as Commissioner in charge.

The spokesman of the Ijaw Youth body, Comrade Ebilade Ekerefe, who stated this during a courtesy call by the commissioner in his office on Monday, said Hon Igwele’s performance within a short period in office has endeared him to the hearts of the people in the State.

He said Igwele has brought his wealth of experience to bear, as the sector has witnessed a lot of transformation in his time.

Ebilade noted that Hon. Igwele who is the youngest in the executive council of the prosperity administration has proven that the youths are leaders of today and not tomorrow as the general saying goes.

“Let me commend you specially for the recently commissioned referral hospital, Kaiama in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area.

“Your efforts in tackling the dreaded Covid 19 pandemic that befell our state and the globe with Bayelsa coming amongst the least recorded of the viral infection in the Country is laudable.”

“We are excited to see Bayelsa standing in a comfortable position in public health and this came necessary because you’re putting in your best in the service to our dear State.”

As a Council, “We will continue to sue for peace in the state and Niger Delta in general with your support, partnership and that of other stakeholders so that development will to thrive in our region.”

In response, the visitor, Hon. Pabara Newton Igwele, appreciated the kind words from the spokesman.

According to him, “I urge our people to be rest assured that Bayelsa State health sector will be one of the most developed amongst comity of states in Nigeria, before end of the prosperity administration.

“We have a governor who will never relent in whatsoever that concerns the development of our state and its people. He listens and does what he says and that has been the source of the little success the ministry has achieved and numerous to come”

“Let me also commend you so far, Mr. Spokesman for the passion, capacity you are showing as regards issues affecting our people and region, for only God will reward you.” He concluded.
