A supercentenarian , Mrs Dani Omonigbalibo (118yrs) has been appointed as Special Adviser on Elders matter by the Vice Chairman of Kolokuma/Opokuma Local council area of Bayelsa state Brian Wotari Alagha .
Her appointment took effect from Tuesday 4th of February 2020 as stated in a letter of council letterhead .

Special Assistant in Media and Publicity to the Vice Chairman expressed  their commitment to the welfare of the elderly .

 “It’s our responsibility as leaders to seek advise from the elderly once in our society because wisdom is profitable to all and thus I think I have made the most effective decision by appointting Mrs. DANI (the Oldest woman in Sabageria town) as my Special Adviser, Congratulations  to you my beautiful mother”.

Meanwhile the appointment as drawn wide criticism on the social media with people appalled by it but a consultant with the local council, Ebinimi Abiama, told TheCable the appointment was a show of solidarity with the aged people in the area.
