A storm last Wednesday has rendered a Bayelsa journalist, Samuel Ese who works with the Business Day Newspapers homeless.
The storm with strong winds, which struck late in the day de-roofed his house on the outskirts of Yenagoa at Banga Camp along Yenagoa/Anyama Road.
It removed part of the roof, carried it some distance before depositing it between two other houses and also folded the remaining part of the roof.
Ese told colleagues who visited him after the incident that he was at a meeting at the Federated Correspondents’ Chapel, but his family was inside when the incident occurred.
He is grateful that despite the severity of the incident no life was lost and expressed appreciation to God for safeguarding his family and neighbours.
A one-time chairman of the Federated Correspondents’ Chapel, Ese has appealed for help from the state government, corporate organizations and philanthropists in order to resettle his family.
