A major trunkline belonging to the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) and conveying crude oil has been attacked by suspected gunmen .
The incident occurred at Tebidaba flow station around Olugbobiri community of Southern Ijaw local area of Bayelsa state.
Mrs. Christiana Abiakam-Omanu, state Commandant of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) said one person in connection with attack has been arrested .
“We have arrested a suspect but investigations are still on going . Also leakages on the pipeline have been contained, “ she said .
The pipeline conveys crude oil to Agip export terminal at Brass Island in the state .
