Bayelsa Approves 25%, 35% Salary Structure for all categories of civil servants

The Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri has approved the 25% and 35% Salary Structure for all categories of civil servants  in the state with effect from November, 2024.
This is according to a statement by  Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Mrs. Ebiuwou Koku Obiyai released in Yenagoa, state capital on Wednesday.
Mrs. Obiyai said  that the newly approved structure will be implemented from May, 2025, while arrears arising from the new structure from November, 2024 will be spread and paid accordingly.
The Information Commissioner added that the approval of the 25% and 35% Salary Structure further demonstrated Governor Douye Diri’s love for the Civil Servants and commitment to the welfare of workers.
While commending civil servants for their services to the state, Mrs. Koku Obiyai urged them to reciprocate Governor Douye Diri’s commitment to their welfare with diligence and hard work   in order to ensure that the Bayelsa public derive the full benefit of the government prosperity assured agenda of the administration.
The commissioner for Information also congratulated the Civil Servants on the May Day Celebration and urged labour to include quality service delivery in their advocacy, assuring  them that government will continue to introduce policies and programmes to motivate the public service for quality work output.
